Teresa Pla, an intersex person raised as a woman, struggles to be recognized as a man within the archaic Spanish society of the early 20th century. The arrival of a small group of guerrillas fleeing after the Civil War becomes his last chance to make his dream come true. The price of his identity will be escape, isolation, and reinvention.
